1. Information we collect
- Account information: name, username, email address, mobile number, date of birth, gender, who you are interested in, and city or postal code.
- Profile information: photos, bio and any other details you choose to add.
- Activity: likes, passes, matches, messages, images you send, reports, and profile visits.
- Technical data: IP address, browser or device type, and login times, used for security.
- Payments: the payment reference and optional proof you submit when buying a membership. We do not store card numbers.
2. How we use it
To run the service, show your profile to compatible members, calculate compatibility scores, deliver messages and notifications, process membership requests, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with the law.
3. Messages and images can be reviewed for safety
Your messages and the images you share in chat are not private from our safety team. They are stored encrypted on our servers, which protects them if our storage is ever accessed without permission. They are not end-to-end encrypted: Velora holds the keys and can decrypt them. Only our most senior administrator role (Super Admin) can open message content and chat images, and every access is recorded in an audit log. We review content to investigate reports, detect scams, harassment and other rule-breaking, and keep the community clean. Some messages, such as those containing phone numbers, links or prohibited words, are flagged automatically for review.
"View once" images disappear for the recipient after they open them, but a copy is kept encrypted for safety review until the conversation is deleted under our retention rules. Nobody can stop another person from taking a screenshot, so only share what you are comfortable with.
4. What other members see
Your first name, age (unless hidden), city (unless hidden), approved photos and profile details. We never show your email address, mobile number, password, exact location or payment details to other members. We never use or display precise GPS coordinates.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the platform (such as our hosting and email provider), or when required by law or to protect someone from harm.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed and never stored in readable form. Messages and chat images are encrypted at rest. Access to the admin panel is role-based and logged.
7. Retention and deletion
You can delete your account from Account Security. Your profile is hidden immediately and your data is permanently deleted after a short grace period, during which you can restore your account by logging in. Payment records may be kept longer where the law requires.
8. Your rights
You can view and edit your information, download or correct it by contacting us, and delete your account at any time.
